I Grad-gee-a-ted.
(Note: this entry is about 67 days late, give or take a few).
Four years. Freshman. Sophomore. Junior. Senior. That’s how it goes. Then it’s over. Going into it, we know that we’re gonna get out. (Well, it’s a tad more complicated than just that). Regardless, growing up is hard, and graduating from college isn’t that much easier. But it happened, and now I have to live with it. Haha, I say that like it’s a bad thing. It’s not; I know that. It was just sad to say goodbye to friends. And it was actually quite difficult to bid adieu to Sherman. I miss Sherman. Well, aspects of it. I’m not entirely sure that I have come to terms with the fact that I am never going back there as an AC student. I’m an alumni? If I ever go back, it will only be for a weekend, or maybe three days…max. More than that, it’s hard trying to transition from being a college kid to being a responsible adult. What the hell does that even mean, responsible adult?
Plus, I miss my LSBN’s.
Oh, and for those of you who don’t know, LSBN = Leslie.Stephanie.Brittany.Natalie.
1. I don’t ever want to meet Adam Levine.
2. I may do it a lot, but I hate crying in front of people.
3. I’m an embarrassingly slow reader.
4. I have a minor intolerance to cheese. Which I am not okay with.
5. My preferred music is not typically mainstream.
6. Even though I’m good at them, I don’t particularly enjoy many arts and crafts.
7. I hate cleaning. So. Much.
8. My favorite color combination is light blue & brown, but I don’t like them individually.
9. I wasn’t very fond of Austin College my first semester.
10. My last name isn’t supposed to be Almanza.
11. I think snow is overrated.
12. There are some exceptions to this, but I don’t enjoy rereading books.
13. Even though I am Mexican, I don’t particularly like beans.
14. Besides Pride and Prejudice, my favorite movie is The Departed.
15. I didn’t know that I had a birthmark on my face till I was in college.
16. I believe in productive procrastination.
17. I like working on things out of order. As in, this is the 19th thing I’ve written even though it’s the 17th according to the list.
18. Austin College was not my first choice.
19. When growing up, I hated my hair.
20. I was once in a minor wreck. The other car was parked. No damage done. Heh.
21. My all-time favorite book is The Scarlet Letter.
22. If I could have any job in the work industry, I would be a music producer.
